Karl Fest
Saturday October 6th, Craig, myself, and friends Rick and Jen went down to San Diego for Karl Fest, a microbrew beer festival. I, in a weak moment a month earlier, volunteered to be the designated driver for the three party animals. The day turned out to be beautiful and I was quite glad i volunteered. We listened to some local bands, the beer was reportedly very good, and the company excellent. I was quite popular having 5 beer tickets on my wristband, and no intention of using them. I was also quite interesting to stare at for the rest of the Karl Fest attendants. Apparently, pregnant women aren't the most common attendants of beer festivals.
Enjoy the photos.

The "Shush" guy
So for the second time now a person who I am (currently) willing to trust that they know what they are talking about has told us to get hold of the book/DVD called "The Happiest Baby on the Block". Basically this guy Harvey Karp has come up with a system for gettig crying and fussy babies to calm down and pretty much just chill out instantly. Almost sounds too good to be true.
Jen and I will probably buy it, but man some of it looks like a cross between hypnotizing a chicken and the jedi mind trick that Crocodile Dundee pulls on the water buffalo in the first movie.

Colonel Mustard with the Revolver in the Library
We interviewed a potential Pediatrician this afternoon. I think it went very well and Jen and I probably won't look too much further.
And as a bonus, her name is Dr Plum, which makes it feel like we are in a game of Cluedo (that's "Clue" for you Americans). It was Dr Plum, with the loaded diaper, in the exam room!
