another doctor visit, another good check-up.
a few weeks earlier i had blood drawn for a routine check. they were testing to see if i had gestational diabetes, or was enemic. both tests were as we'd hoped, i am not diabetic, nor enemic. the rest of my statistics checked out well and the doctor was quite happy with how i am progressing.
next up - wiggly's turn. wiggly's heart beat was in the good and healthy range, growth rate in the good and healthy range, and kicks DEFINITELY in the healthy range.
we got some of our questions answered that had been floating around for a while. turns out, i can do crunches to keep my ab muscles strong - just not over do it. i can also sleep on my back without fear of suffocating wiggly (as we were told by an overzealous instructor in our first baby class). the look on the doctor's face was priceless after we told her what was said about sleeping or laying on your back.
the big excitement was of course that we have made it to 28 weeks, and are now officially in our 3rd trimester. only a few short months, and the baby will be here!
the preparations in the house are continuing along. the room that was the office, then the 'extra stuff' room, has been turned back into an office. once that transformation is complete we'll start removing a lot of the office things and turn the room into a guest/baby room. it's astonishing how many baby things we have already accumulated. wiggly already has clothes - a pretty good accomplishment for someone who hasn't even been born yet.
only 80 or so days left!
